In a new paper just published in "environment - earth and environment" researchers have investigated the potential for reducing fungicides based on the use of decision support systems (DSS) compared to traditionally calendar based strategies. Analysis of 80 experiments across many DSSs have shown that treatments with fungicides can be reduced by at least 50%, without compromising disease control.
