IPM Conference 2024 - Provisional agenda is now available!
The IPM Conference 2024 will provide a forum for stakeholders involved in the development of IPM, including: farmers, advisory services, retailers, agro-industries, researchers, decision support developers and policy makers. The Conference will present results and tools produced by the two projects, with testimonies of farmers and advisers highlighting success stories in IPM implementation and practical solutions to reduce the reliance on pesticides.

Evaluation Barley Yellow Dwarf Virus DSS
For the last couple of months, multiple fields within the Southwest of the Netherlands were tracked with use of the Barley Yellow Dwarf Virus (BYDV) decision support system. The BYDV DSS makes use of weather data of a specific selected region. Out of this data, the system gives an indication of the risk of winged aphids within the field.

IPM Conference 2024
The European Union has set the ambitious target of halving pesticide use and impact in European agriculture. IPMWORKS and IPM Decisions are two sister H2020 projects contributing to this challenging objective by promoting a holistic approach for Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and jointly organising the IPM Conference 2024 in Brussels, 14th May 2024.

IPM Decisions platform update with historical data
In October there has been a large update of WWW.PLATFORM.IPMDECISIONS.NET. including the ability to use historical data to review how risk has developed during the season. After creating an account, adding a farm location, and selecting relevant decision support systems (DSS), users have direct access to a dashboard with risk information for their crops.

Beneficials helping the battle against aphids in zucchini production
Pieter is one of the farmers of the Belgium outdoor vegetable hub working on zucchini of the Horizon 2020 project IPMWORKS led by hub coach Jonathan De Mey. Besides plastic mulching against weeds, and so avoiding the use of herbicides, Pieter also plants virus tolerant cultivars.

IPM Decisions platform update for the summer season
On the 27th March the platform was updated, with even more Decision Support Systems (DSS) for Integrated Pest Management (IPM). The platform now has 26 DSS integrated in the platform and a further 17 DSS accessible through a link to the providers webpage. Users are now also able to compare and adapt DSS to suit their needs.
